Ingredients:
- Rice 2 cup
- Onion 1 (chopped)
- Tomato 1 cup (Puree)
- Green coriander 3 tbsp (chopped)
- Green chili 2 (chopped)
- Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
- Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
- Salt 1 1/2 tsp
- Dry red chili 5 (crushed)
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
- Mustard seeds 1 tsp
- Curry leaves 5
- Water 4 cup
- Oil 4 tbsp
Procedure:
Wash and soak rice in plenty of water for 1 hour before cooking.Heat up oil in sauce pan.
Fry the mustard seeds until splutter.
Add onion, red chili and curry leaves and simmer until onion became transparent.
Add ginger and garlic paste, simmer for 2 minutes.
Add tomato paste, simmer until water of tomato dry up.
Add all other dry ingredients.
Simmer for 3 minutes.
Add rice and 3 cup water , mix well.
Cook over medium flame, until water evaporated.
Sprinkle green chili and coriander leaves.
Cover the lid, cook for 7 minutes over low flame.
Serve hot with gravy or raita.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
