Ingredients:
- Wheat white flour 1/2 cup
- Baking powder 1 1/2 tsp
- Brown sugar 1 cup
- Dry milk 2 cup
- Cream 1 cup
- Green cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
- Butter 2 tbsp
- Pistachio 1/4 cup (cut thin layers)
- Almonds 1/4 cup (crushed)
- Dry coconut 1/2 cup (shredded)
- Green cardamom 4
- Sugar 1 cup
- Water 2 cup
- Rose water 1/4 cup
- Oil 2 cup (for fry)
Procedure:
Sugar syrup:
Put water, white sugar, cardamoms in a sauce pan.
Cook at low flame, until this syrup become smooth, it may takes 20 minutes, stir occasionally.
Dough:
Mix flour, dry milk, baking powder, cardamom powder, brown sugar and strain them.
Melt the butter and cream on low heat then knead the flour with this mixture.
Make a smooth dough.
Cover and put this dough for 30 minutes in fridge.
Then make small balls of 2 inch size from the dough.
Take oil in a deep pan and heat it.
Fry the balls over low flame, until get brown.
After that strain from hot oil and drop in sugar syrup.
Keep in syrup, until they soak the syrup, it may takes 6-8 minutes.
Take out the balls in a dish, from sugar syrup.
Sprinkle a heavy layer of shredded coconut and garnish with pistachio.
Note: Add the rose water in sugar syrup just before adding fried balls in syrup.
