Ingredients:

  1. Mutton/Beef meat 1 kg
  2. Wheat grains 1 cup (ground, soak in water)
  3. Gram lentil 1 cup (soak in water)
  4. Onion 2 (ground)
  5. Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
  6. Ginger Paste 1 tbsp
  7. Salt 1 tbsp
  8. Dry red chili 12 (ground)
  9. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  10. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  11. Cumin seed 1 tbsp (ground)
  12. Spice powder 1 tbsp
  13. Ghee 1 cup
Seasoning:
  1. Green Coriander 1/2 cup (chopped)
  2. Mint 1/2 cup (chopped)
  3. Green Chili 6 (chopped)
  4. Ginger 2 tbsp (thinly sliced)
  5. Lemon 2
  6. Onion 1 (thinly sliced, fry the onion in ghee until brown and transfer it over pepper and keep aside)

Procedure:

Boil gram lentil and grind it, keep aside.
Boil the wheat grain separately, drain and keep aside.
In a pan melt ghee.
Add garlic and ginger and onion paste, fry for 2-3 minute.
Add meat, stir and simmer over medium flame until it changes its color.
Then add all dry ingredients, mix well and cook constantly for 2-3 minutes.
Add the boiled wheat grains and simmer more 10 minutes.
Cook the meat continuously over medium flame.
Now, add the lentil paste and mix well.
Add 3 cup water, cook over high flame.
When it became rolling boil, cover the lid and turn the flame to low heat, cook it for 40 minutes.
When meat tenderized, mash it with wooden spoon and mix it well.
Cook more for 10 minutes.
Transfer in a serving bowl.
Sprinkle all the seasoning ingredients over cooked haleem.
Cut the lemon in pieces and serve with haleem.

Note: Do not add the lemon in whole haleem, just in that quantity how much you are going to serve.

Cooking Time: 1 hour 30 minute
