Ingredients:
- Brinjal 1
- Yogurt 1/2 kg
- Onion 1 (chopped)
- Green coriander 4 tbsp (chopped)
- Salt 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seed (roasted, ground)
- Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
- Oil 1 tbsp
Procedure:
In a sauce pan boil the water.
Keep a strainer over it, which should not touch the water.
Cut the head of brinjal and keep over strainer and cover the lid.
Cook it for 10 minutes, until brinjal cooked in steam.
Now ripe the brinjal and mash it.
Whip the yogurt.
Add steamed mashed brinjal and all other ingredients except cumin seed, mix well.
In a frying pan, add 1 tbsp oil and fry cumin seeds for 1 minute.
Pour it over prepared raita.
Its ready to serve.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
