Ingredients:
- Peas 1 cup
- Fava beans seeds 1/2 cup
- Asparagus 4 sticks (chopped)
- Green chili 4 (chopped)
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
- Cheese 1/2 cup (chopped)
- Salt 1 tsp
- Black pepper 1 tsp (ground)
- Vegetable oil 6 tbsp
Procedure:
In a sauce pan boil 8 cup of water.
Add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp oil.
Add peas, asparagus and fava beans and cook over medium flame until vegetables tenderized.
Drain cooked vegetables and keep aside.
In another sauce pan heat the oil.
Add 4 tbsp water, add black pepper, salt and green chili, cook for 2 minutes.
When it starts bubbling, add drained vegetables and mix well.
Simmer and stir over medium flame for 4-5 minutes.
Add cheese, simmer and stir for 4 minutes over medium flame.
Then add lemon juice.
Cover the lid and cook over low flame for 2 minutes.
Serve it hot with roti.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 35 minutes
Do You Know: Fava bean also called faba bean. It resembles to Lima bean. Mostly used in Middle Eastern dishes.
