Ingredients:
- All purpose flour (maida) 1 cup
- Baking powder 1 tbsp
- Sugar 1 cup
- Orange rind 2 tbsp (chopped)
- Orange juice 1/2 cup
- Eggs 2
- Olive oil 1/2 cup
Procedure:
Sift all purpose flour, baking powder and green cardamom powder.
Take a bowl, add sugar, orange rind and olive oil, beat with an electric beater.
Add eggs and beat well.
Mix flour in juice and add it to the prepared batter, beat constantly until it became fluffy.
Pour the batter into the greased baking bowl.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Bake for 45 minutes.
Transfer the cake over wire rack and cut pieces.
Serve hot or cold.
Note: You can preserve it in plastic bag and keep it in fridge for 3-4 days.
Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Baking Time: 50 minutes
Do You Know: Orange was cultivated before 4,000 years in southern China and Southeast Asia. Its a citrus fruit. Its rind and pulp both are in different cooking products.
