Ingredients:

  1. All purpose flour 1/2 cup
  2. Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  3. Coco powder 2 tbsp
  4. Butter 2 tbsp
  5. Sugar 4 tbsp
  6. Egg 1
For filling:
  1. Dates 1/2 cup (seedless, mashed)
  2. Honey 3 tbsp
  3. Green cardamom 2 (crushed)
  4. Almond 2 tbsp (chopped)

Procedure:

Mix honey, dates, cardamom and almonds in a bowl and keep aside.
Sift flour, baking powder and coco powder in a bowl and keep aside.
Beat egg, oil and butter in a bowl.
Add sifted ingredients.
Knead the dough well.
Now take 1 tbsp from dough and spread it over your palm and pour 1 tsp of date mixture, cover it with dough and make the shape of a small ball and press it slightly.
Prepare all the biscuits with same process.
Take an oil greased tray and set all the balls over it.
Bake for 30 minutes in preheated oven at 350 F.
Transfer at wire rack to cool.

Preparation Time: 40 minute
Cooking Time: 30 minute

  1. There are some really great culinary shows on Dawnnews. “For the Love of Food” is really interesting because the host goes around various cities and tries out the food at many restaurants, ranging from smaller desi ones, to fancier continental restaurants.
    A “Taste of Fusion” is another great show where they give u recipes on how to combine western dishes with eastern ones.
